01Booking and payment
Book now, pay later. When you book, your date — or your seats on a group tour — is reserved at once and you are shown a Rio booking reference straight away. No payment is required or collected on this website, and card details are never asked for. Rio Charters then contacts you directly to confirm the final arrangements, including how and when to pay; your booking is confirmed once that is done. A copy of your booking may also be emailed to you, but please keep your reference either way.
02One boat, one calendar
Rio Charters runs a single boat, Blue, licensed for 18 passengers + 2 crew. A full-day private charter reserves the whole date for your group; a half-day charter reserves its morning or its afternoon, so a second half-day charter may run in the other half. The first group-tour booking on a date reserves that date for that tour, and other guests may join it until the licensed capacity is reached. When a booking is cancelled, its date or seats become available again straight away. Bookings need 24 hours’ notice online; for anything sooner, message the crew.
03What is included
All applicable island landing fees are included, on group tours and private charters alike. Private charters: Water, soft drinks and local beer included. Group tours: Refreshments for every guest: one mineral water and one soft drink. Each charter’s own inclusions are listed on the Charters page.
04Meeting point and transfer
Every trip meets the crew at Berjaya Beach, Côte d’Or, Praslin (open in Google Maps). An optional one-way transfer costs €10 per couple; it is one way only, not a return. If a single traveller or an unusual group needs transport, Rio Charters confirms the arrangement directly.
05Changes and cancellations
To change or cancel a booking, contact Rio Charters as soon as possible on WhatsApp +248 256 9525 or at riocharters@gmail.com, quoting your booking reference. The crew updates the booking, and a cancelled booking releases its date or seats at once. Rio Charters has not published standard cancellation deadlines or refund amounts on this website: the terms that apply to your booking are confirmed with you directly when it is arranged, before any payment is made.
06Weather and safety
Trips remain subject to safe sea and weather conditions. If Rio Charters cannot operate, the crew will contact you with the available rebooking or refund options.
07Your details and how they are used
For a booking we ask for your name, email address, WhatsApp or phone number, accommodation and any notes; for an inquiry, the details you choose to give with your message. They are used only to manage your booking or answer your inquiry, and to contact you about it. They are stored in Rio Charters’ booking database, hosted by Turso, and can be seen only by Rio Charters staff through a password-protected log book. When email notifications are switched on, the same details are also sent through an email delivery service to Rio Charters’ inbox, with a copy or acknowledgement to you. The website is hosted by Vercel, which processes technical request data, such as IP addresses, to serve the site and protect it from abuse. This website sets no advertising or analytics cookies and never collects payment-card details.
08Your rights and contact
You may ask to see the personal details Rio Charters holds about you, and to have them corrected or deleted when they are no longer needed, subject to any records the business must keep for accounting or legal reasons.
